1) Remove the rounded end from a cotton buds applicator to expose the inner plastic tube. Cut a 5/32" wide piece off which is your toilet roll. Your nearly done already. |
2) Cover the toilet roll with a short length (about 1" long) of 1-ply tissue 5/32" wide. A dab of glue will secure the tissue on to the toilet roll and another dab will secure the end of the tissue. The toilet roll should have a diameter of 3/16". |

1) For this toilet roll inner tube cut a 5/64" piece from the white plastic tubing that encases the paper clip. For the toilet paper cut a 5/64" wide strip from 1-ply tissue. |

2) Slip the inner tube on to a sewing needle (you can't possibly hold it between your fingers). Put a wee dab of glue on it to secure the end of the tissue strip. Then wind tissue strip around the inner tube maintaining a gentle tension throughout. It really isn't that hard to do. |
3) You want the toilet roll to have a 3/32" diameter. To gauge this I drew the measurement on to a piece of paper with a hole in the middle. Insert the sewing needle into the hole to ascertain if you have wound enough tissue on to the inner tube. |
