Toilet Rolls, 1:12, 1:24 & 1:48 Scale  - Page One

MATERIALS:

• white paper

• 2-ply facial tissues

• plastic cotton buds applicators

• white plastic-covered paper clip

• glue

1:12 Scale Toilet Rolls

1) From white paper cut a piece 5/16" x 1". From 2-ply white facial tissue cut two strips each 5/16" wide.

2) Cut the cotton bud off one end of the cotton buds applicator.

3) Spread glue over one side of the paper. Tightly wrap around the cotton buds applicator with the glued side outermost. Your fingers will get covered in glue during this process.

4) Now you have an inner tube for your miniature toilet roll.

5) Dab some glue on to the inner tube to secure the end of a tissue strip. Maintain a gentle tension on the tissue strip while you wind it around the inner tube. Secure the end with some glue. Repeat for the second tissue strip. You want your toilet roll to have a 3/8" diameter.

6) Cut a piece of 1-ply tissue 7/8" x 1-1/2" and wrap around toilet roll. Use the cotton buds applicator to gently poke ends inside inner tube. Select one of the labels and glue on. Each label should measure 1/2" x 1/4".
