Let the Building Commence

The box containing the Beacon Hill Dollhouse arrived on Monday afternoon 20 August 2007. The delivery van managed to back up the driveway hitting our letterbox in the process.

The Beacon Hill Dollhouse Kit box was really heavy. I couldn’t move it alone. This is a daunting project so it sat around for two days before I checked that all the components were there and marked them off against the schematic drawings sheet. All 37 pre-cut wood sheets accounted for, along with shingles, clapboard siding and 2 silkscreened plastic window sheets. Plus there was even a little spider in amongst the sheets of wood. How it was still alive and not squashed is a mystery. Had this insect come all the way from America? Here are pictures of the closed and open Beacon Hill box plus one with my 'small' dog Jack.
