delPrado Dolls' House Step by Step

          

On Sunday 25 June 2006 I purchased the entire partworks for this dolls' house at a mere 8% of the original price. There were 125 parts in all but I only have 123 as two parts were missing. The intention was to build the house and furniture over a year. The previous owner had opened issues 1 - 40 assembling most of the furniture (and some of the house) from these but had not finished them very well.

 

This was the state of the dolls' house when I purchased the partworks. All the wallpaper will need replacing.

Update 30 December 2006
I am very sorry to report that I haven't done any work on this since October 2006. I have re-made all the furniture up to part 40. As I have recently decided to concentrate on halfscale (not 1" scale) the house components have been stored away. When I feel like it I will continue to construct the furniture but I won't be assembling the house in the foreseeable future.

Update 1 April 2007
I'm back on track now (I hope) and will be building both the house and furniture as originally planned starting from part 1. Click on a part number below to find out about it. Note: if a number isn't orange then I haven't completed it yet. Sorry! These things take time. While the quality of this house and furniture isn't the greatest it will be good practice and I am sure to learn something along the way.
