C. First Floor Staircase

Step 1 is to remove and prepare the first floor staircase parts. So I punched out the required pieces from the pre-cut wood sheets numbered 5, 9, 10, 12 and 15. Sanding was a pain as the nicer top layer of wood kept breaking off along the edges. Plus I had to be careful not to get a splinter of wood in my fingers. As I wasn't working fast sanding took many days of short bursts. Staining took a few days to complete also. Pictured below are the R&P staircase parts.
