Welcome to Never Done Miniatures
Hi I'm Cathy from Auckland, New Zealand. That's me in the photo with my my husband Alvin and small dog Jack who is sitting on my lap.
My Hobbies: Dollhouse Miniatures and Computers
I was very lucky to "retire" at the age of forty, ten years ago. My time has been spent either at my computer or making miniatures. I don't, however, have many finished projects to show off as I seem to prefer starting projects rather than finishing them. Hence the name of this website. It is fortunate that dollhouse miniatures and using a computer go hand-in-hand so well.
DIY Projects
I do enjoy the challenge of creating something and then sharing the instructions. See the DIY Projects section.
I've just found an interesting website called "The Art of Dollhouse Miniatures" run by Al Latwaitis. He will share with you what he's learned, what he's learning and how he made his miniatures. Not just dollhouse furniture, but all of the mini things that will decorate your dolls house. I have also added an RSS feed from his blog in the lower left column.
My Projects
Where do I begin? There is the Remember When Dollhouse (1:24 scale), the Dolls' House Step by Step (1:12 scale) by del Prado and the Beacon Hill Kit Dollhouse (1:12 scale) purchased from Greenleaf in August 2007. Check out My Projects section to view some of the many projects that I have to make.
